It all started with our food truck ‘Betty’
Patti's and Cream is a boutique, small batch, handmade ice cream producer, locally owned and operated in Dunedin. Over the years, we have developed our classic and seasonal ice cream flavours using only the finest, locally sourced dairy and produce.
We love designing limited edition ice cream flavours so there's always something new and tasty to try, and year round we serve our beloved range of classic and seasonal flavours.
Our vision started in 2018 serving delicious, handmade ice cream and gourmet hot grilled burgers from our Bedford food truck 'Betty', at popular local hot spots around Dunedin.
Betty's legacy lives on and you can still find our old lass Betty for premium scoops and delicious burgers at the St Clair Esplanade on sunny Dunedin weekends. You may also spot Betty at local festivals, events and occasionally private functions.
The Scoop Shop
In 2020 we launched our first permanent location 'The Scoop Shop' in Mornington Village which serves our specialty range of ice cream flavours and ready to order top notch desserts. The Scoop Shop also stocks our range of take home tubs and our famous ice cream tacos!
The Diner
After receiving vast amounts of popularity at The Scoop Shop, Patti's and Cream expanded their dream to opening an American inspired diner.
The Patti's & Cream Diner was opened on the Knox block of George Street, Dunedin in 2022, which caters a full lunch, dinner and dessert menu. Including our complete range of seriously delicious burgers, tones of tasty sides, and extensive dessert options, including scoops and packaged ice cream to go.
